Canadian International School of Hong Kong
Founded in 1991, the Canadian International School of Hong Kong (CDNIS) has grown from a small school of 81 students to a leading international institution serving over 1,800 students from more than 40 nationalities. Located on a state-of-the-art campus in Aberdeen, the school provides a through-train education from Pre-Reception to Grade 12. CDNIS is unique in its offering of a dual-diploma program, where graduates earn both the IB Diploma and the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), providing them with versatile pathways to global universities.
The school's philosophy emphasizes a holistic approach to education, balancing rigorous academics with robust programs in the arts, athletics, and community service. Known for its strong sense of community and innovative use of technology in the classroom, CDNIS has consistently been ranked as one of the top IB schools in Hong Kong. The campus features specialized facilities including a 600-seat theatre, an aquatic center, and a dedicated design lab.
Notable for its 'One School, One Spirit' ethos, CDNIS fosters a global perspective while maintaining strong ties to Canadian culture and values. It is a non-profit organization governed by a volunteer board of governors. The school is fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), ensuring high standards of international education.
