The Children's Academy Bahrain
The Children’s Academy Bahrain is an independent school located in Hamala that caters specifically to children with moderate learning difficulties (MLD). Established in 2008 through a partnership with the Alpha Plus Group in the UK, it provides a highly supportive and specialized environment that was previously unavailable in the region. The school follows the British National Curriculum, which is carefully modified to meet the individual needs of each student.
The school’s philosophy focuses on holistic education where therapy and academic learning are integrated. Speech and language therapy, as well as occupational therapy, are core components of the school day. With very small class sizes and a high teacher-to-student ratio, The Children’s Academy offers a nurturing atmosphere that builds confidence, social skills, and independence. It is widely recognized as a center of excellence for Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Bahrain.
