The Study

Founded in 1915, The Study is one of Canada's premier independent all-girls schools, located in the Westmount area of Montreal. The school’s mission is to guide each girl towards her own excellence within a supportive and challenging environment. The Study is an IB World School, authorized to offer both the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Middle Years Programme (MYP), ensuring a rigorous and globally recognized framework for its students.

The school places a strong emphasis on bilingualism, with an enriched French program that ensures graduates are fluently bilingual. The curriculum is designed to empower young women, focusing on leadership, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), and the creative arts. The Study’s small class sizes and dedicated faculty create a personalized learning experience where girls are encouraged to take risks and pursue their passions.

The campus is a blend of historic charm and modern innovation, featuring cutting-edge science labs, a digital media studio, and bright, flexible learning spaces. Beyond academics, students participate in a wide range of extracurricular activities, including competitive sports and global service-learning trips. The Study is known for its strong community spirit and an active alumnae network that spans the globe, providing students with lifelong connections and opportunities.
