Canadian International School of Beijing (CISB)

The Canadian International School of Beijing (CISB) opened its doors in 2005 through a partnership between the Government of Canada and the New Brunswick Department of Education. Located in the Liangmaqiao diplomatic district, the school was designed to provide a high-quality education for the children of diplomats and the expatriate business community. CISB follows a dual framework, offering the New Brunswick Provincial Curriculum alongside the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, providing students with a unique blend of North American standards and global inquiry-based learning.

CISB is an IB World School authorized for the PYP, MYP, and DP, ensuring a continuous and rigorous academic pathway for students from Montessori Nursery through Grade 12. The school’s philosophy centers on developing well-rounded students who are academically proficient, socially responsible, and culturally aware. With a student body representing over 50 nationalities, CISB fosters a multicultural environment that celebrates diversity and encourages global citizenship.

The school is renowned for its strong athletics program, a wide array of extracurricular activities including music and drama, and its focus on technology integration in the classroom. The campus features modern learning spaces, a large gymnasium, and specialized science and computer labs. CISB is an active member of the UNESCO Associated Schools Project Network, further highlighting its commitment to international understanding and peace.
