Hangzhou International School (HIS)

Founded in 2002, Hangzhou International School (HIS) was the first international school established in Hangzhou. It is an IB World School that offers the full International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum, including the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). The school was founded to serve the growing expatriate community in Hangzhou and remains a non-profit institution governed by a self-appointed Board of Trustees.

HIS moved to a brand-new, purpose-built campus in the Binjiang District in 2022, featuring state-of-the-art facilities. The school's philosophy centers on providing a rigorous, student-centered education that fosters global citizenship and academic excellence. It is widely recognized for its strong community feel and its long-standing track record of university placements in prestigious institutions worldwide.

As a fully accredited international school, HIS admits only students who hold foreign passports or residents from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. It is a member of the East Asia Council of Overseas Schools (EARCOS) and the Association of China and Mongolia International Schools (ACAMIS), ensuring high standards of educational quality and professional development.
