Tianjin International School

Tianjin International School (TIS) was founded in 1986 and was the first international school established in the city. It is part of the International Schools Consortium (iSC), a network of schools across Asia. TIS offers a North American curriculum from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12, including a robust Advanced Placement (AP) program for high school students. The school is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

The mission of TIS is to provide a transformative holistic education that prepares students for global leadership. The school places a high priority on character building and service to others, rooted in its historical Christian foundation. TIS is known for its strong community atmosphere and personalized approach to learning, with relatively small class sizes that allow for individualized attention.

Located in the Nankai District, TIS features a well-equipped campus with modern classrooms, a large library, and various sports facilities. The school has a long track record of academic success, with graduates frequently accepted into prestigious universities in the United States, Canada, and South Korea.
