Founded in 1997, Xi'an International School (XIS) is one of the oldest international educational institutions in Xi'an. It serves children of foreign nationals by offering a traditional American-style curriculum enriched with international perspectives. The school focuses on building a tight-knit community where students feel safe to explore their interests and develop their character.
XIS is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). The high school curriculum includes Advanced Placement (AP) courses, providing students with the opportunity to earn college credit and prepare for North American university environments. The school is known for its supportive faculty and its emphasis on moral development and community service, making it a popular choice for expat families who value a small-school atmosphere.
