The Beacon School is an independent, non-profit, co-educational school located in Makati City. It was the first school in the Philippines to be authorized by the International Baccalaureate (IB) to offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and later the Middle Years Programme (MYP). The school serves students from Pre-K through Grade 8 (roughly ages 3 to 14), with many graduates transitioning to top-tier international high schools.
The school’s educational philosophy emphasizes inquiry-based learning and the development of the 'whole child.' Class sizes are kept small to ensure personalized attention and to foster a collaborative learning environment. Beacon is noted for its strong sense of community and its commitment to developing students who are compassionate, principled, and globally-minded.
While located in an urban setting in Makati, the school maximizes its facilities to provide a rich learning environment, including dedicated spaces for performing arts, a well-stocked library, and science laboratories. The Beacon School is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS).
