German European School Singapore (GESS)
GESS is a non-profit international school with a strong European foundation. It is unique in Singapore for offering two distinct curriculum streams: the German Curriculum (following the standards of the German federal states) and an English-speaking International Section following the IB curriculum. This makes it the primary choice for the German-speaking community, while also attracting a broad international student body.
The school moved to a spectacular purpose-built campus at Dairy Farm in 2018, which is nestled against the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. This location allows for a strong emphasis on outdoor education and environmental awareness. GESS is known for its 'Junior Engineer Academy' and strong ties to European industry and culture.
Facilities include an Olympic-sized pool, a massive library with views of the forest, and specialized STEAM labs. The school promotes a culture of openness and respect, preparing students for life in a globalized world while maintaining strong roots in European educational traditions.
