American Pacific International School (APIS)

American Pacific International School (APIS) was the first international school in Northern Thailand to offer a residential boarding program. It operates two campuses: the Primary Campus in the city (Mae Hia) and the Main Campus (Samoeng), which is located in a beautiful mountain setting. This unique dual-campus structure allows younger children to stay close to the city while older students enjoy the benefits of a spacious, nature-focused boarding environment.

APIS is an IB World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). The school’s philosophy emphasizes 'global citizenship' and 'learning by doing,' utilizing its natural surroundings for experiential education. The boarding program is a central part of the school's identity, providing a structured yet home-like environment for students from across Thailand and around the world.

Notable for its small class sizes and personalized attention, APIS fosters a close-knit community where every student is known by name. The Main Campus features extensive facilities, including a swimming pool, gymnasium, and outdoor education areas. The school also offers a variety of summer programs and extracurricular activities that take advantage of the local terrain, such as hiking and environmental studies.
