Lycee Rochambeau French International School

Lycee Rochambeau, officially known as the French International School of Washington, is a leading French-language international school serving the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Established in 1955, it is one of the oldest French schools in the United States and operates under the auspices of the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE). The school provides education from preschool (Petite Section, age 3) through Terminale (Grade 12), following the French National Curriculum and preparing students for the French Baccalaureat.

The academic program is delivered primarily in French, with significant English-language instruction integrated throughout all grade levels. Students develop true bilingual proficiency, and many graduate with both the French Baccalaureat and strong English-language credentials.
